Deuteronomy 6:7 "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up."

This past week we had some huge gusts of wind blowing outside the house. The trees were swaying with force as Bethany and I looked out the window. I asked Bethany if she could see the wind. She responded with "No."

To which I replied, "Do you think the wind really exists?"

She gave me a perplexed look and said, "Of course it does."

"How do you know?" I enquired.

"Because I can see what the wind is doing to the trees," she remarked.

"Can you see God?"

"No."

"How do you know that God is real?" I asked.

"Because I see the things that He does," she said with perfect wisdom.

It is exciting to see these young minds grasping concepts so simple yet so profound that many cannot understand, and yet a four-year-old understands with perfect simplicity.
